Mobilising and aligning public, philanthropic and private capital
a growing network shaping Europe’s catalytic capital for EU Missions
The Social Innovation Mission Facility (SIMF) is convening a curated network of philanthropic organisations, impact investors and public actors committed to advancing new financial approaches to fund social innovation aligned with the European Union Missions.
This network brings together organisations with complementary roles: from patient philanthropic capital to impact investment and public finance, united by a shared ambition to accelerate mission-driven innovation and achieve systemic impact across Europe.

why this network
Europe has strong policy ambition and a growing ecosystem of social innovation and social positive impact.
However, the financial mechanisms required to support these social innovations at scale remain fragmented.
The SIMF Funders and Investors Network has been established to help address this gap by contributing to the design of more coordinated, effective, and mission-oriented financial solutions.
what we are working towards
We will engage with funders and investors to co-create a process to develop a Public-Private Financial Partnership Agreement (FPA) to support the establishment of a European Catalytic Fund aligned with EU Missions.
This work focuses on:
Exploring catalytic and risk-sharing financial structures
Strengthening governance models that enable trust and collaboration
Supporting the scaling of innovations with high societal impact
an evolving and curated network
The network is intentionally being developed as a focused and high-trust space, bringing together a limited number of organisations engaged in early-stage dialogue and co-creation.
Participants contribute their experience, perspectives, and strategic insight to help shape the foundations of a new European financial architecture for impact.
The network will continue to evolve in the coming months, with additional organisations joining as the process progresses.
