On 24 March, the European Research Network on Philanthropy will release the full ERNOP study (open access):
“Philanthropy in Europe. Mapping Research and Data on Donations by Households, Bequests, Corporations, Foundations and Charity Lotteries in Europe”
Bringing together nearly 50 researchers across 20 European countries, this volume offers the most comprehensive comparative overview to date of philanthropic giving in Europe.
The key message: philanthropy makes a substantial and diverse contribution to European societies β yet its data infrastructure remains uneven and fragmented. At a time of growing expectations toward private initiative, understanding the scale, structure, and limits of philanthropy has never been more important.
